The Natural Horse is full of informative articles, written both by international authorities and individual members. The magazine will keep you up to date with the latest issues affecting you and your horse, including legislation and scientific research. The magazine is a forum where ideas can be shared, and support given, for those of us who strive to keep horses in more horse-friendly ways. As a member you will be able to advertise through the magazine and get in touch with like-minded people.

Advice and Support
We advise and assist members with queries and problems. The NHG has a wide range of expertise, so there is usually a member who can help you with a problem. We also produce information on many elements of horse-keeping and offer an accreditation scheme to livery yards that share our philosophy of good horse-keeping.

We provide support (organisational, financial and moral) and insurance for NHG members who want to organise events to further the understanding of horses. This could be a visit to a yard, a talk by a vet or equine behaviourist or a clinic with a trainer. Or whatever you, as an individual member, are interested in.

We campaign on welfare issues at a national level, for example, as consultees for DEFRA, we commented on the draft of the Animal Welfare Bill and we responded to the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons proposals to update the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966.
