for Horses
Today in the UK, horses can legally be kept in ways that would not be acceptable - and in many cases legal - for animals in circuses, zoos, experimental laboratories and farms. As ideas of extensive animal keeping and behavioural enrichment are becoming increasingly accepted in other areas of animal welfare, horse-keeping is becoming more intensive, to the detriment of the horse. The NHG is committed to campaigning to change this.
